Fans of the Governor rejoice!

David Morrissey has joined a new program on AMC titled Line of Sight.

The show revolves around Morrissey’s character named Lewis Brent, a National Transportation Safety Board administrator who survives a mysterious plane crash. Sarah Clarke of 24, has previously been cast as Brent’s wife Dot, who gets whisked up in his obsession to figure out the  cause of the crash.

Morrissey, an English actor, burst onto our screens last February as well known villain Phillip Blake, aka The Governor. Since then, he’s the man every body loves to hate.

But, now that he’s been cast in this new drama, what does it mean for the man with the eyepatch?

Apparently, the new series is being produced in Atlanta alongside The Walking Dead which means The Governor isn’t going anywhere.

Or so we think. We don’t know how individual characters will fare until the new season airs in October but sources have already said that the Governor won’t be featured heavily in season four.

Either way, we’re glad he’s doing double duty and so is the broadcaster who made a statement to Deadline saying, “We are huge fans of David Morrissey and are glad he’ll be doing double duty for AMC viewers through his work on The Walking Dead and our pilot for Line Of Sight.”

No dates for Line of Sight have been released yet, but The Walking Dead will be back for season four on October 13.
