TLC fans have some exciting developments to mull over. For the first time in eleven years they are releasing a new record.

Their upcoming album is set to feature some seriously first-rate collaborations as well! Lady Gaga and Ne-Yo to name but two.

Paying homage to their dearly departed member, Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes, TLC are gearing up for the release of their fifth LP this coming October. Expect the release to showcase a host of special guests in celebration of their much anticipated comeback.

The announcement came on the heels of this year’s MTV VMAs, where Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins and Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas shared their excitement with fans.

T-Boz spoke to Billboard about the LP, saying that the duo would be recording the album, but added, “… and some guests. I say spice it up and have fun. A lot of people pay homage to Lisa… Why not?”

“We’re in the studio daily. We can’t tell you yet but we’ve got some stuff brewing.”

They did let some secrets fly, though. According to T-Boz, Lady Gaga has written a special track with Dallas Austin that will appear on the album, and Ne-Yo collaborated with the dynamic duo on a track titled “Meant To Be”.

Their 2002 album 3D was certified platinum in the US and will be hard to beat, but it sounds like they’re on to a winner here!

PLUS if October feels too far away… You can hear TLC on J Cole’s current single “Crooked Smile”.
