Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who stars in the film as Johnny, discussed the popstar’s role in the film when appearing on Boston radio station, JAM’N 94.5.

“She came in and I was like ‘OK they’re having a huge pop star do a scene in the movie, I understand’. But then she came in and, like, nailed it.”

He added: “She had her character down, and she was like a total pro, and did a great job, I was really impressed.”

Co-written by Robert Rodriguez, Frank Miller and William Monahan, A Dame To Kill is primarily based on the second book in the Sin City series, by Miller.

Josh Brolin, Jaime King, Eva Green, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Jamie Chung and Ray Liotta also star in the film, with stars of the original film, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba, all returning for the sequel.

A Dame To Kill For, the sequel to the 2005 neo-noir film Sin City, is set to hit cinemas on August 22, 2014.
