Looks like someone let the Cybercontroller out of the bag!

The BBC has been notably silent about any details surrounding Matt Smith’s departure as the Eleventh Doctor. The upcoming Christmas episode of Doctor Who, due to begin filming shortly, will be Smith’s final appearance as the bow-tie loving Doctor – but someone on set has let out an important detail about the episode!

Stuntperson Darrelle ‘Daz’ Parker tweeted a photo out on August 28th, captioned:

Great to be stunting again for Dr Who in the Christmas special playing a Cyberman! pic.twitter.com/KslWbQdkWr

Though the tweet has subsequently been deleted – presumably at the behest of some fairly unhappy Doctor Who producers – you can’t take back what has already been released into Cyberspace (get it?), and the rumours are already flying. Most Whovians are assuming that Smith’s Doctor will be killed by the Cybermen, opening the door for his replacement, 55-year-old Peter Capaldi.

In lead-up to the Christmas special, Doctor Who fans can look forward to the Dalek-heavy 50th Anniversary special, featuring the return of Tenth Doctor David Tennant and his intrepid companion Rose Tyler (played by Billie Piper), being simulcast worldwide on November 23rd.
