It has been announced that Allison Janney, star of The West Wing and current movie The Way, Way Back will be joining the cast of the movie Book of Common Prayer.
According to Variety, the star will be joining Christina Hendricks in the movie adaptation of the novel of the same name by Joan Didion. Janney will be playing an anthropologist who tells the story of Hendricks’ character who arrives in a fictional pre-revolutionary Central American country and believes she is to be reunited with her 19 year old daughter.
The movie which is going to be directed by Campbell Scott will also star Hart Botchner, and the director himself will star as Hendrick’s husband.
Filming on the project is due to start in June 2014.
