Apple has been criticized by investors for their slow pace of product rollouts during the past year. Yes, product releases may have been lacking for Apple but all of that is about to change. No more waiting, no more rumors.

Earlier today, Apple held their long awaited Keynote conference, where CEO Tim Cook introduced the new and updated lines of iPhones, the new iOS 7, and an updated version of the MacBook Pro with the all new OS X Mavericks.

The iPhone 5S is quite a stunner and is available in three different colors: silver, gold, and “space grey”. The design hasn’t changed too much besides the metallic finish, but the phone does only weigh a mere 112 grams. One of the grand features that the iPhone 5S possesses is the fingerprint scanner. With TouchID, you can simply unlock your iPhone with the touch of a button.

The iPhone 5S will also run on the A7 chip which, rumors say, is 31% faster than the previous A6 chip. We formerly mentioned that the 5S may include a 12 megapixel camera, but it has now been confirmed that the iPhone 5S will still be using the 8 megapixels iSight Camera with 1.5 micro pixels. If that’s not exciting enough, the phone will also feature a dual-LED flash, known as the new True Tone flash. With these amazing new features, there is no doubt that the photo quality will improve tremendously.

The iPhone 5S is not the only phone that is being released by Apple this month. As we reported a month ago, Apple had plans to release a cheaper iPhone to the consumer market: the iPhone 5C, and now it’s actually happening. The iPhone 5C is targeted to individuals with a respectively lower budget, while connecting with those who may want a more colorful touch. The 5C runs on the iOS 7 and A6 chip (which Apple boasts to provide 10 hours of active usage), and includes an 8 megapixel iSight camera. It also features the beautiful Retina display on its 4-inch screen. You can view the full list of specifications and features here.

As far as pricing goes, the iPhone 5S starts at $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB, based on a two year contract. The iPhone 5C starts at $99 for 16GB and $199 for 32GB on wireless plans as well. Otherwise, the 5C starts at $549 for a 16GB and $649 for a 32GB, unlocked and contract-free.

There doesn’t seem to be a pre-order option available for the 5S, you have to wait until the release date  to order. However, you can pre-order the iPhone 5C starting on September 13th. Both the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S will be available on September 20th in the US and Canada, and eight other countries including the United Kingdom.

There really are some big and impressive improvements with the upgraded iPhones. Will you be upgrading to the 5S or 5C when they come out? Share with us, we’d love to know!
