If you didn’t already know, the poster for the 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who has been leaked online. The leak’s been confirmed according to Tea Lady Design, who designs posters and DVD covers for the BBC. BBCOne has since released the poster though.
This comes not too long after the title of the 75-minute episode, ‘The Day of the Doctor’ was mistakenly revealed and an hour or so before the posters were due to be released at midnight.
The poster depicts the two doctors, Eleven (Matt Smith) and Ten (David Tennant) back to back with the ever-mysterious ‘Dark Doctor’ (John Hurt) in the middle walking forward with what appears to be something burning/exploding behind him.
In other news, we have some new pictures of Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman who appear to be shooting Matt’s final Doctor Who episode as the Doctor.
Cue the tears. Jenna, who plays the current companion Clara, and Matt are shown here, on location, filming for the 2013 Christmas Special.
We will bid farewell our ‘Raggedy Doctor’ in an episode written by current show runner Steven Moffat.
But back to those posters, what do you think? Are you excited or just exasperated and in need of that 50th Anniversary trailer? What do you think is burning behind the ‘Dark Doctor’? Let us know what you’re thinking, because we’re all in the same boat.
