Hello my Gleeks!
I know that you, much like me, are not excited but anticipating the third episode of the fifth season. This episode will be dedicated to the memory of Cory Monteith, who died approximately two months ago. It will also serve as a tribute to Finn Hudson, who was a beloved and vital character to the show.
So we have gathered everything that we currently know about Finn’s tribute episode. Just in case that you’re like me and need to steel yourself from the tidal wave of emotions that is going to hit Gleeks on October 10th.
WARNING SPOILERS: If you do not wished to be spoiled, please stop reading.
Title: “The Quarterback”
Finn Hudson will not die from a drug overdose. Finn’s death will not be revealed.
This episode will be a celebration of the character’s life.
We will not be spoiling specific plot elements out of respect for the episode.
All proceeds from sales of songs for this episode will be donated to charity.
Rachel will not be heavily featured in the episode. She will not be in the episode until the final act.
Santana will have a “memorable” part in the episode.
There will be a scene with Burt, Carole, and Kurt.
Some characters will have a difficult time accepting Finn’s death. They will all be dealing with it in “different ways.”
There will be specially filmed PSA’s on drug abuse featuring the cast and shot by Ryan Murphy.
The episode will be written by Ryan Murphy, Brad Flachuk, and Ian Brennan. It will be the third episode written by all three creators.
The episode, itself, is described as “beautiful” and “heartbreaking” by the cast and crew.
The cast, in particular, were moved by that one scene.
