Contrary to popular belief, Charlie Sheen did not fire Anger Management star Selma Blair. It was believed that after Blair made comments about Sheen’s punctuality and general attitude when filming, Sheen got offended and refused to film if Blair came on set.
However, Sheen appeared on The Tonight Show on Wednesday to clear up these rumours. She wasn’t fired; her character, Kate, was simply written off. Sheen felt that the show ended up too focused on the relationship between the two characters, and less on… well, him.
Many people were “Still excited about the Two and a Half Men character” but also believed that people thought “The Anger Management character was too dull.” This is adding a new angle as Sheen, the anger management counsellor, begins falling into depression.
Honestly, Blair had no issue leaving as she finds it is a lot easier working away from Sheen. In fact, she would have found it very difficult to carry on working with him after he “Flew off the handle.”
In response to her character’s departure, Blair tweeted a simple “I thank you for support and love.”
What do you think about Selma Blair’s character being taken off?
