It’s not really news that there is a Dumb and Dumber sequel currently in the works. However, the recent additions to the cast list is pretty big news.
According to The Inquisitr, Laurie Holden will be playing the lead female villain, Adele Pichlow, in the follow-up film. Her character plots to kill her husband and step-daughter so she can steal their money run off with the handyman. Though it is currently unclear how and why, Pichlow eventually encounters Lloyd and Harry and also adds them to her hit list.
Holden is most known for her roles on The Shield, The X-Files, Cybil Bennett in Silent Hill and more recently, as Andrea on The Walking Dead.
Original directors, The Farrelly Brothers, are back to take on this sequel as well as original stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels to reprise their roles as Lloyd and Harry.
Other stars that have been linked to the film according to IMdb.com are Brady Bluhm reprising his role as Billy the Blind Kid, Cam Neely also reprising his role as Sea Bass and finally, Kathleen Turner taking on the role of Fraida Feltcher – the woman Lloyd slept with while she was dating Harry.
There is no release date for this film right now, though it is believed that they are currently filming it as I’m typing this.
While I know it’s a huge risk to release a sequel to a movie like this, as they did try previous with Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, I’m actually ready for this because of the casting and the original directors and writers being back on board.
