‘Big Bang Theory’ Stars Want Bigger Bucks

The Big Bang Theory has been one of the most popular shows of the 2010s.  Due to this popularity, the cast wants more money.

Several outlets including The Hollywood Reporter, The Huffington Post, Radar and USA Today reported that the show’s trinity: Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Kaley Cuoco (Penny) and Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter) have banded together in a quest for a salary raise.

“They know the critical position Big Bang holds on CBS’s primetime schedule and the only thing preventing them getting what they want would be a spectacular ratings demise this season,” a source told Radar. “This is not about to happen anytime soon.  They’ll put on a united-front during negotiations.”

The Los Angeles Times found that the trio currently makes over $350,000 per episode.   But, when the comedy returns for the 2014-15 season, they want it to take a home $500,000 an episode.

This news comes after reports surfaced that two of the show’s supporting cast members: Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch have received raises from the $20,000 to $30,000” to the “neighborhood of $60,000 to $70,000.”

At this time, Warner Bros. and CBS have not announced their plans to negotiate with the trio.

The Big Bang Theory will return on Thursday, September 26 on CBS.
