A Directioners’ Worst Nightmare: Mother Sells Teen’s Tickets As A Lesson

One thing I was constantly told as a child was to above all, always respect my mom and dad.

A teen girl in Australia learned that lesson the hard way this week when her mother started selling her birthday present on eBay. The present? Four tickets for her and friends to see One Direction in concert.

In the auction’s description (which closes September 25th), the peeved mother explains her reason for selling the tickets: she did not appreciate being lied to by her daughter and her friends. The lie? Instead of being at a sleepover, they were hanging around at the house of an older male.

I’m surprised that auctioning her One Direction tickets were the only thing this mom did.

Current bids for the four seats are up to a little over $24,000.

“I’m not you friend, I’m your mother.” The rightly enraged mother wrote. “It’s my job to raise a responsible adult…not nurture bad habits in my teen age child.”

Well said, mom. Well said.
