Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson and Tom Felton are set to star in a crime drama together on TNT called Murder in the First. The project is the brainchild of NYPD Blue creator, the Emmy award winning Steven Bochco.

The 10 episode drama will follow homicide detectives, Terry English (Taye Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Kathleen Robertson) as they focus on one case throughout the season. Tom Felton, who fans of the Harry Potter franchise will remember as Draco Malfoy, will be playing Erich Blunt, a CEO of tech firm that gets pulled into the investigation.

Raphael Sbarge, of Once Upon A Time, and Ian Anthony Dale, of Hawaii 5-0 will also star in the drama.

President, head of programming for TNT, TBS, and Turner Classic Movies, Michael Wright, said, “Murder in the First sets up an engrossing season-long mystery that’s certain appeal to TNT fans.” He also explains that they are excited to work with Steven Bochco again.

“We look forward to seeing this fascinating mystery unspool in the hands of Steven, Eric Lodal, and the incredible cast and crew,” he continues to say about the new show. The two will also be credited as “Executive Producers.”

Murder in the First will premiere in the summer 2014.
