We’ve had NKOTBSB, is 1SYNC to follow? Well Justin Timberlake would love it to happen.
This week the former *NSYNC boy band member appeared on Britain’s Daybreak breakfast show proclaiming his love of One Direction and hopes that they could form a supergroup with *NSYNC.
Joking with the presenters he said, “Really, can ten of those hairstyles be on the same stage? I think we already know the answer. We should just for some super group. It’d be hilarious.”
Timberlake added, “What I’ve seen [of them], I like them. They seem grounded to me, I like that about them.”
But it was not just Timberlake that the British boys have impressed. Following the VMAs, his fellow bandmate, Chris Kirkpatrick, showered praise on the “What Makes You Beautiful” popstars declaring his love for their “great songs”. With this much love, could a supergroup not be too far-fetched an idea?
Timberlake was part of the one-off *NSYNC performance at this year’s MTV VMAs. While fans have called for a reunion (or even a farewell) tour, Lance Bass revealed that there are no current plans for a tour or any new music from the band.
Timberlake’s new album The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 is being released on September 30. His latest single, “TKO”, the second from the album, was dropped this week.
The boys from One Direction have their third studio album, Midnight Memories, in stores November 25.
