True Blood’s end is coming, and according to one star of the hit HBO show, it didn’t come as a surprise.
Carrie Preston admitted that they had all seen it coming. Digital Spy reports that the actress who has been in the show since the pilot said “We were all suspecting it, because all of our contracts were up so they did a renegotiation for one more year and so we thought, ‘Oh, it’s coming’”, Carrie said at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. She also explained that showrunner Brian Buckner informed them all of the show’s fate in an e-mail.
Nevertheless, the actress who has played Ariene Fowler since the show’s pilot episode, itself- was still moved when it happened. “But then when you hear it, it’s like, ‘Oh’, this pang.”
Carrie says she and her co-stars will not be taking anything for granted and will cherish the days they have left in the world of True Blood. “I think we’re going to be counting our blessings and really trying to make the most of every moment.”
True Blood‘s final season will air in summer 2014 on HBO.
