Nowadays, it seems like everyone’s music is getting leaked. Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are just some of those on that list. Now the boys from One Direction can add their name to it, with their latest single, “Diana” hitting the world wide web. The uplifting song is a dedication to their fans and the catchy chorus makes your feet tap and your shoulders shimmy at your desk.
“Diana, let me be the one to light a fire inside those eyes, you could love me, you don’t even know me, but I can feel you crying,” sings Harry, Louis, Niall, Liam and Zayn.
“Diana” is expected to feature on the boys’ third studio album Midnight Memories, set to be released on 25 November. Music royalty, Pharrell Williams, has been in talks to work on the record and successful British boy band, McFly, have also penned a track.
To say One Direction has already had a successful 2013 would be an understatement. Their 3D movie This Is Us topped UK and US box offices and attracted over 4000 fans at London’s Leicester Square at its World Premiere. Having received positive feedback from the film industry, the movie is rumoured for success at the Golden Globes for best documentary and best original song for ‘Best Song Ever,’ which also won best song of the summer at the VMAs. This Is Us is also tipped for success at the BAFTAs for outstanding British film.
One Moment, the band’s debut fragrance also launched in August, with fans gathering in London from around the world for the event. One dedicated Directioner flew all the way from Mexico just to pick up the fragrance at Harrods before flying back again. With Christmas on the horizon, more products and gift sets are expected to arrive on shelves shortly for stocking fillers.
With a new album on the way and a 2014 stadium tour, there’s no stopping these boys. If this leaked track is what’s to be expected from Midnight Memories then we can’t wait.
