Two celebrities old enough to know better have been Twitter feuding, and – for once – Rihanna isn’t involved. Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice judge Adam Levine allegedly subtweeted Lady Gaga last Friday, tweeting:
Ugh..recycling old art for a younger generation doesn't make you an artist. It makes you an art teacher.

I unabashedly love writing and performing pop music for both myself AND everyone around me. That's It. It doesn't need any extra sauce.

Gaga, whose newly-released video for “Applause” references several classic artistic works like Botticelli’s Venus and The Seventh Seal (1957), retaliated to Levine’s perceived snub:
uh oh guys the art police is here

Apparently unwilling to let things drop, earlier today Levine continued the online drama:
Methinks thou dost protest too much…yikes!!!

by the way, im NOT an artist. i sing in a band and i make music with my friends.

while we're at it we should call the grammar police.

Well, he’s not wrong about the grammar thing; it really should have been “police are here.” Get it together, Gaga!
