It looks like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D actor Brett Dalton is just as excited about the new Marvel television series as we are. We know, that’s pretty darn excited.
The actor, who plays combat specialist Grant Ward on the show, told DigitalSpy, “Nobody’s more lucky than me to get this part, and I know that I won the Lotto on this.” He also said that he enjoys how the series stays true to Joss Whedon’s balance between humour and action.
“It goes with the reality of the moment but it’s not afraid to give a wink now and then and not take itself seriously,” he said.
Clark Gregg, who is reprising his role in the Avengers film, said the show “seems to be an open game with the Marvel universe”.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD premiered yesterday at 8/7c on ABC., and you can catch our recap of the pilot right here. The action packed show will debut in the UK this Friday on Channel 4 this Friday at 8pm.
