Say What? Miley Cyrus Says VMA’s Could Have Gone Further

Yes, everyone is still talking about Miley Cyrus’s performance at the VMA’s last month. The “We Can’t Stop” singer is claiming that she could have taken her performance “even further” than it went when it came to the live show itself. Miley performed a duet with “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke, which resulted in 160 complaints being filed in, regards to her behavior during the performance.

Miley recently had an interview with Rolling Stone that she spoke about the infamous performance.

“I think it’s an important time not to Google myself. Honestly, that was our MTV version. We could have gone a lot further, but we didn’t. No one is talking about the man behind the ass. It was a lot of ‘Miley Twerks on Robin Thicke,’ but never ‘Robin Thicke grinds up on Miley.’ They’re only talking about the one that bent over. So, obviously there’s a double standard.”

If there is a reason behind why people didn’t focus on Robin Thicke’s actions at the VMA Awards, it might be because that kind of behavior is almost expected from a performer like Thicke. Cyrus also stated in the interview with Rolling Stone that:

“I wasn’t trying to be sexy. If I was trying to be sexy, I would be sexy. I can dance a lot better than I was dancing. Now people expect me to come out and twerk with my tongue out all the time. I’ll probably never do that s**t again.”

For your sake, Miley, I hope that last part of your statement is actually true.

The singer has even more controversy following her these days, as she has been seen posing with a monkey who’s chained up and happens to be dressed like a cowboy.
