In an interview with USA Today, Cher said that her new album, Closer to the Truth, has brought her closer to achieving everything she wanted.
“The early ones I don’t like at all. My voice was so strange and different. This is as good as I’m ever going to do,” she explained. “I’m just so not a Cher fan, but I like these songs.”
In excitement for her 29th album, the “Woman’s World” singer gushed about how fellow singer Pink wrote songs “Lie to Me” and “I Walk Alone.”
“I’m a gigantic fan,” she said. “She’s a real girl who has problems, is soft, is hard. She’s a kick-ass girl who follows after me.”
Closer to the truth was released in the US on September 24.
