Fans of The Bridge will be glad to hear that FX has renewed the hit drama for a second season. This means there are 13 brand new episodes heading your way. This renewal came just as the series, which is based in the US & Mexico, is wrapping up its very first season on October 2nd, according to Deadline.
Eric Schrier, who is the President of Original Programming for FX, had this to say about the series getting a second season: “We’ve been blown away by the compelling performances of Demian Bichir & Diane Kruger and the writing of Meredith Stiehm, Elwood Reid and their team, and we are thrilled to be able to continue this journey for another season.”
The Bridge was originally inspired by the European series Bron. The new series shows the lives of two cops (Bichir & Kruger) one of who is American, and the other who is Mexican, who work together to find a serial killer that has been causing terror between the borders of both countries.

The Bridge’s second season is likely to premiere next summer.
