George Clooney has not been shy in talking about his turn in the Bat Suit. He has been quoted as saying in the past that he very nearly ruined the entire Batman franchise with his nipply portrayal of the Caped Crusader.
When recently asked about the titillating announcement that Ben Affleck would take over for Christian Bale in the newest manifestation of Batman, George was very clear in his stance.
“I am the least qualified person to comment on anyone playing the role of Batman since I so terribly destroyed the part, according to Digital Spy. “I tend to look at it like this – let’s just see what the movie is before everyone starts beating him up. He is a smart man, he knows what he is doing.”
George is just one of many artists to come to Affleck’s defense after the digital world exploded with righteous indignation when the announcement went public.
The Man of Steel sequel, in which Affleck will make his debut as Batman, and is currently being called Superman vs Batman, is expected to be released on July 15, 2015 on a global scale.
