Hashtags: the curse of the 21st century. Whether it’s on Twitter or in everyday life, many people use them and even more people seem to find them incredibly annoying. That is why Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake decided to make a short skit for Fallon’s late night chat show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The skit features the duo making fun of the constant use of hashtags and the fact that people just can’t seem to stop using them in weird ways.

The pair are sitting on a couch chatting about topics ranging all the way from the Cookie Monster to Miley Cyrus, with hashtags such as #lololololololololololololol, #SexyGhost and #SpeakingOfSmilingIJustSawMyDentist, the kind all of us have seen thrown at us way more often than we’re comfortable with.

At the time of writing the video has already gained over 10 million views, so clearly this is something people think about!
