We’ve recently discovered that Buffy and Angel veteran, Charisma Carpenter has been scooped up to play Marianne Romano on the hit CBS show, Blue Bloods.
The lady herself took to twitter to comment on the news, insisting that her time spent as Ms Romano was “the most fun I have had w a character in a long time”.

Marianne works into the show’s plot as Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg’s) ex, who comes to him for help after being beaten by her brute of a fiancé. Her interaction with Danny soon reopens old wounds and their complicated relationship interferes with a police investigation.
Charisma Carpenter is most well known for her role as Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and subsequent spinoff – Angel) back in the day, but she more recently starred as a series regular on ABC Family’s The Lying Game.
Sadly,The Lying Game only lasted two seasons before being cancelled despite Charisma and the rest of the cast wanting “at least… one more season, so we could wrap up our storylines”. Oh dear, let’s hope she has more luck on Blue Bloods!
The show’s fourth season premieres on CBS September 27 at 10/9c, but Charisma’s episode won’t air until November.
