Well… he said she was “actually great”. We’re not sure if this counts as a totally five star compliment but it’s still the best film review she’s had in the last few years!
Danny McBride is the HBO comedy’s star and co-creator and has come out in support of LiLo, telling reporters that she was “totally cool” to work with despite the “f**king insane” media circus.
Chatting to popular magazine, Vulture, McBride admitted that there were no on-set issues while filming with the Mean Girls star. “She was actually great. What was most interesting was the news stories that followed.
“[Lohan] was kind enough to come in and do a very small thing for us, and there was coverage on it for a week – even made-up stories about the crew’s reaction to what she’d done.”
We have to say, it’s nice to hear someone stick up for Lindsay for once!
“She was great and did a good job, but it was just interesting to see how that news cycle works around her. I can’t imagine how you would get used to that.”
He also quashed the recent rumours about his casting of the 27-year-old starlet in an upcoming HBO pilot.
“Yeah, that was completely false. Not that I wouldn’t do that… She was totally cool and we enjoyed working with her and if something was right we’d definitely do it again.
“But I saw that and was like, ‘That’s f**king insane – that’s a completely made-up story’.”
