As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Simon Kinberg is set to write the Fantastic Four reboot, as well as produce the film along with Matthew Vaughn. The pair previously worked together on X-Men: First Class.
Kinberg has also written many other films that have hit the top box office list. His recent films include Elysium, and X-Men: First Class. He also acted as the executive producer on films such as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
As we mentioned a month ago, the new Fantastic Four movie would exist in the same cinematic universe as the X-Men series. Perhaps we might actually see characters overlap from the different franchises.
Seeing how Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer have just barely made it past a rating of 5.5, it will be very interesting to see what kind of twist and excitement Kinberg will incorporate into the Fantastic Four reboot. Having a long and wild history with successful and popular film productions, we can definitely bet on something amazing that will be coming our way soon.
