With so much focus in the media lately on too little clothing and a little too much twerking, it’s refreshing to hear that Katy Perry wants to be known for her music, not her body.
Perry recently spoke with Capital FM, saying that she feels too old to pull off risqué outfits now.
Perry, who turns 29 at the end of the month, said, “I’m just getting a little older and realized I can’t pull that off anymore.” She also added, “If I had Rihanna’s body, I would wear everything Rihanna wears. She looks fabulous in all of it.”
She then said, “I want to keep the attention on my music. I have confidence in my songs, that’s where I need most of the focus.”
Katy also joked about all of the attention she received from One Direction, saying, “I’m really flattered, especially as there are a lot of younger ladies in pop music.” She even goes on to say, “I’d be a bit of a supermum-none of them are even 20 yet. I’ll be their Mrs. Robinson.”
Prism, Perry’s third album, will be released in the UK on October 21, and just a day later in the US.
