The UK’s answer to Coachella; Glastonbury is the hottest ticket on the calendar when it comes to festivals.
Tickets went on sale this morning (Oct 6th) and once again broke records, selling out 13 minutes quicker than last year’s record breaking 1 hour 40 minutes, with all 120,000 allocated tickets being snapped up in just 1 hour 27 minutes.
With previous headliners such as Jay-Z, Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, Coldplay and Stevie Wonder; it’s no surprise that tickets priced at £210 (plus a £5 booking fee) sold out so quickly.
The long-running musical festival held by Michael Eavis in the Somerset County, has spanned over three decades, making next June’s event the 34th Glastonbury festival.
Eavis took to Twitter to announce the news in an open later:
Despite no headliners yet being announced, most fans put their trust in Eavis who hasn’t yet failed to deliver. On if he’s close to confirming headliners he said “they are more or less in place” and that “they’ve never topped the bill before” – interesting.
When we get news of who will be headlining, we’ll be sure to let you know. Good luck to all the people who try and get tickets in the spring resale of returned tickets!!
