A new trailer for the Robert Rodriguez action sequel, Machete Kills, has been released online and allows us some more insight into the different characters that will be appearing in the movie, most notably, Lady Gaga.
Machete Kills stars Machete alumni Danny Trejo as our hitman that is hired by the President of the United States, played by Carlos Estevez or previously known as Charlie Sheen, to assassinate an insane arms dealer, played by Mel Gibson.
Gaga seems to be pretty keen on using a gun in the trailer since about every shot of her involves her holding or firing a gun. It makes sense though because she appears to be listed among Gibson’s “army of super soldiers” in which Machete will have to encounter and fight in order to try and take out ‘ol Mel.
Throughout the trailer you can also hear the new song “Aura” from Gaga’s newest album, ARTPOP, playing in the background as well as a pretty obviously plug for the album itself at the close of the trailer.
Machete Kills also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Antonio Banderas, Demián Bichir, Amber Heard, Sophia Vergara, Vanessa Hudgens and Cuba Gooding Jr and is set to be in theaters this week on October 11.
