Kathyrn Hahn, 39, has joined the cast of Disney’s forthcoming sci-fi adventure film Tomorrowland, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Brad Bird-directed flick also stars George Clooney, Britt Robertson and Hugh Laurie.
Tomorrowland‘s official synopsis reveals that it tells the story of a “bright, optimistic teen (Robertson) bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor (Clooney) jaded by disillusionment who embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as Tomorrowland.”
Hahn will play a “funny, scene-stealing”character named Ursula, while Laurie will take on the role of the film’s villain.
The script for Tomorrowland was co-written by Brad Bird and Star Trek Into The Darkness‘ Damon Lindelof and is based on a story by Bird, Lindelof and Jeff Jensen.
Principal photography is already underway in Vancouver for the forthcoming blockbuster. It is scheduled to hit theatres on December 12, 2014.
