Ashley Judd has raced to, ex-husband, Dario Franchitti’s side after he was involved a car accident, according to Digital Spy.
Judd tweeted to her followers,” Thank you for the prayers for @dariofranchitti I have only clothes on my back & the dogs but that’s all we need & we are on our way.”
Franchitti and Judd were married for over ten years and announced their spilt in January, although they have never filed for divorce.
The couple’s statement said, “We mutually decided to end our marriage. We’ll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed.”
The news of Franchitti’s accident broke on Sunday and according to USA Today he “suffered a concussion, broken right ankle and two spinal fractures in the high speed crash which injured 13 fans as debris flew into the stands. The three-time Indy 500 winner was transported by an ambulance to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. He is expected to be transferred to an Indianapolis hospital later this week.”
Franchitti also tweeted, saying, “Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes. They mean a lot to me…I would also like to send my best to all the fans involved in the accident and hope that everyone is alright.”
