Hunger Games’ Josh Hutcherson Opens Up About His Views On Sexuality

NULL

Josh Hutcherson spoke recently with Out magazine about his sexuality. Although Hutcherson did joke about a possible threesome between his Hunger Game’s character, Peeta, along with Gale and Katniss, he also delved into some rather serious topics: society’s fear of homosexuality. And Josh held nothing back!

“Sometimes it’s frustrating to comprehend how people are not okay with it. If you can try to tell me how it’s hurting you, you’re crazy. You’re absolutely crazy. Like what do you mean it’s not natural? Even if – even if, which I disagree, but even if – why the f**k do you care?”

Hutcherson is extremely passionate about the issue and helped found a youth organization, Straight But Not Narrow, which is working at tackling homophobia.

Although Josh is currently dating actress Claudia Traisac he isn’t sure about his future: “I’ve never been, like, ‘Oh, I want to kiss that guy’. I really love women. But I think defining yourself as 100% anything is kind of near-sighted and close-minded.”

Although he describes himself as “mostly straight”, Hutcherson has an open mind about his sexuality.

“Maybe I could say right now I’m 100% straight. But who knows? In a f**king year, I could meet a guy and be like, ‘Whoa, I’m attracted to this person’.”

Way to go Josh! If only more people were as open-minded as you!!

You can catch Josh Hutcherson as Peeta in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire set to hit theaters on November 21!
