Yesterday, Kelly Clarkson and will.i.am revealed who were up for awards during this year’s American Music Awards.
All eyes will be on rising Indie hip-hop duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, as they are nominated with five nominations. However, breathing down their necks are pop music statesman Justin Timberlake and country darling Taylor Swift, who each scored five nominations.
Meanwhile, country duo Florida Georgia Line, “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke and Rihanna, are all tied with four nominations.
Florida Georgia Line will duel with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Ariana Grande, Imagine Dragons and Phillip Phillips for the prestigious New Artist of the Year award.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will also lock horns with Timberlake, Swift, Rihanna and Bruno Mars as all of these talented artists vie for the show’s signature award: Artist of the Year.
