Katy Perry performed her catchy song “Roar” on the VMAs nearly seven weeks ago, and now she’ll be back on MTV to perform her newest single “Unconditionally” at the 2013 MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam.
In a statement, Perry expressed her enthusiasm saying; “I’m so excited to return to the EMA stage! I have tailor-made a performance of a brand new song from Prism to share with fans from around the world on November 10.”
The pop star has been the host of the EMAs in 2008 and 2009, and has performed 3 times thus far. This should make for an exceptional performance because Perry has spoken to the media saying that “Unconditionally” is her favorite track from her latest album Prism.
As a special surprise for the show, Will Ferrell will come in character as Anchorman’s Ron Burgundy, who will be bringing updates to the audience throughout the show.
Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are leading the pack with five EMA nominations each. Just behind them are Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Robin Thicke, who each have four nominations.
