After the feud between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, expect Idol’s new panel of judges to gel together.
Returning judge Keith Urban told both Digital Spy and Extra that he gets along with his fellow judges: newbie Harry Connick, Jr. and Idol veteran Jennifer Lopez.
“We just get along and we love what we do,” said the Australian country singer. “We just clicked.”
Urban, who was a fan of the show before being approached asked in 2012 to judge alongside Carey, Minaj and Randy Jackson, stated that he was particularly impressed with the “Dance Again” singer’s previous stints on the show.
“I think she’s so good at judging talent.” Urban said.
American Idol is expected to return to FOX in January 15, 2014 with Ryan Seacrest back as host and former judge Randy Jackson as the in-house mentor. Jackson will be replacing Interscope Records chairman Jimmy Iovine.
