Orphan Black is getting several new recurring characters when it returns in 2014 for a 2nd season. Canadian TV veteran Peter Outerbridge will be joining the Space/BBCA Sci-Fi drama. Not only will Outerbridge be in the show, but so will Michiel Huisman and Ari Millen.
For those unfamiliar with this television program, here is a brief rundown of the plot. “A streetwise hustler is pulled into a compelling conspiracy after witnessing the suicide of a girl who looks just like her.” Why was there a lookalike? The reason – clones; the lead character (played by Tatiana Maslany) has lots of them.
Who will the new cast members of this show play? A recent press release has given us some clues, although they are merely tidbits; we will have to wait until Spring to discover who they really are. Let’s discuss them, shall we?
Outerbridge’s character, Henrick “Hank” Johansson, is described as a modern-day cowboy. This character is said to have a certain plan for the clones. What that is, we will just have to watch to find out.
Cal Morrison is Huisman’s character on the show. His role will be as an outdoorsman. Surely, this guy has more to his storyline then fishing and camping.
Finally, Millen will play Mark. This guy is a follower of Johansson. He is also relentlessly perusing the clones. So, Sarah Manning and the other lookalikes better watch out! Trouble is coming.
Orphan Black’s second season is currently in production. The expected release is April 2014. In the meantime, we can catch up on the first 11 episodes that makes up season 1 before the new season comes around.
