ARTPOP is almost upon us. As part of the celebrations leading up to the album’s release, starting yesterday (October 13), Lady Gaga will release a new lyric every day and a preview of a track on the album every Monday. Yesterday she premiered a snippet from “G.U.Y. (Girl Under You)”.
Through a little monster talk show on YouTube, called Radio ARTPOP, the singer offered a piece of the action to her fans — the sixth song on the album, produced by Zedd and Gaga herself.
The song features deep vocals and a club-anthemic melody, with elements reminiscent of Gaga’s early work but a pop vein that derives of her latest material. Listen to the 12-second preview below.
