Horrible Bosses 2 Scores Half Of Dream Casting Duo In Chris Pine

Captain Kirk has a new role as a horrible boss.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Chris Pine was rumored to be starring in next year’s Horrible Bosses 2, and today his involvement has been confirmed!

Chris Pine will portray one half of a father-and-son duo, who steal the idea of an invention from the film’s leads. If Pine is anything like Colin Farrell’s character from the first film (who was also the son in a father-and-son duo), I know I won’t complain!

Rumors were also floating around that Christoph Waltz was rumored to be starring in the film, but it is reported he has turned down the offer.

Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudekis are returning as the three leads. Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Foxx are also set to reprise their roles. Sean Anders, who wrote We’re the Millers (also starring Aniston and Sudekis), is helming the sequel.

Horrible Bosses was a critical and commercial success, receiving positive reviews from critics as well as grossing $209 million worldwide on a $35 million budget.

Filming was set to begin last month (as Jason Bateman posted a picture from set), but filming seems to be delayed as casting for such titular roles are being arranged.

The film is set to be released November 26, 2014.
