After experiencing a number of production delays, it seems like Jurassic World is finally getting back on its feet, with casting rumors and announcements continuously being made.
Josh Brolin has begun talks about being in the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel. He has yet to make any negotiations, but these early talks include him being cast as “one of the leads”.
Bryce Dallas Howard is in final negotiations to star in the film. Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3) and Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer) have been cast as two of the leads in the film, and will star as brothers.
Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) will direct the film. In an interview last month, Trevorrow said, “This is not a paycheck gig for me and it’s not the movie that I’m making so I can make the movies that I really want to make. I actually want to make a kick-ass Jurassic Park movie.”
Steven Spielberg, who directed Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park: The Lost World, will produce the film. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will also produce the film. Jurassic World will begin production in Hawaii in early 2014 and has a planned release date of June 12, 2015.
