Zac Efron isn’t the only former Disney star stripping down for films these days.
Even Steven’s alum, Shia LaBeouf, seems to make quite a habit out of being undressed on screen. From being naked in the “Fjogur Piano” music video, to the more recent Nymphomaniac film, which had its share of nudity and sex, Shia is getting used to bearing it all.
He’ll be doing it once again for his upcoming comedy/action film, Charlie Countryman. The 27-year-old actor posted a teaser pic to his Twitter account with the caption, “Tune in, turn on, drop out- #CharlieCountryman 11/15.”
Courtesy of Shia LaBeoufLaBeouf also went the even extra mile to prepare for his part by taking LSD in order to better understand his character reports, E! Online.
“There’s a way to do an acid trip like Harold & Kumar, and there’s a way to be on acid,” LaBeouf told USA Today in 2012. “What I know of acting, Sean Penn actually strapped up to that [electric] chair in Dead Man Walking. Those are the guys that I look up to.”
When it comes to sex and nudity, though, Shia seems to strip on cue, but he says that there are rules, “I have ethics. I’m not completely out of my mind,” he said of going nude on the big screen. “But I don’t think there’s anything wrong with sex. Sex is beautiful if it’s done right. And I wouldn’t just do it for no reason…Sex is different than love, and there is a separation, and that middle gap is what the movie’s about.”
Charlie Countryman also stars Melissa Leo, Evan Rachel Wood and Rupert Grint.
