Congrats are in order for Level Up’s Aimee Carrero who has secured an appearance in The Americans. The actress will star opposite the shows regulars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, reports DigitalSpy.
Carrero’s character, Chena, will be introduced in the drama’s sophomore season reports The Hollywood Reporter. Chena is a Sandinista freedom fighter who will go to great lengths for her principles. The season will supposedly be set in the 1980’s, as it will explore the Nicaraguan Contra rebels.
Carrero has been busy lately. You can expect to see her in the pilot for ABC Family’s Young and Hungry. The Americans season two will premiere January 2014.
