Britney Spears has learned from heartbreak — and her gay fans. Her next album, Britney Jean, will be her eighth, but it will be the first album she helped pen herself. “I wanted to do something that was a little more personal for my fans,” she said in an interview with This Morning, “because I went through a lot this year and I wanted to share those personal moments with them.” And some of those moments were influenced by her most recent heartbreak, which she says will be present in the album. However, it wasn’t as rough as it could have been. “It was a hard break-up, but it wasn’t one of my hardest break-ups.” Not hard to believe that!
She’s co-producing the album with Will.I.Am, with whom she worked on “Scream & Shout.” She says it’s fun working with him. “In the studio, we would just throw out anything, put our heads together, and it was just like a scientific experiment.”
“Work B*tch” is inspired by no romantic interest of hers, though. “It’s a throwback to my gay fans, I love my gay fans,” she said. “[B*tch] is sort of a term of endearment.” So, whether you’re a jilted ex-love of Britney’s, or just someone who says the b-word affectionately, you’ve inspired the Queen herself.
