Jason Statham is returning to comedy. That’s right, the actor who launched his career as Bacon, in the 1998 British comedy classic, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, is returning to his roots to team up with the current queen of comedy Melissa McCarthy.
Deadline have reported that director, Paul Feig is in talks with Statham and it is thought that negotiations may begin soon to make the hopes of many a reality.
Although details surrounding the project are currently being kept under wraps, the film, titled Susan Cooper, will centre around an unlikely female secret agent (McCarthy) with Statham playing a spy on the same side.
That is of course, if he accepts Paul Feig’s offer.
