Lady Gaga has confirmed via her Twitter that Venus will not be the second released single on her album ARTPOP, but instead the collaboration with R. Kelly. “Do What U Want” feat. R. Kelly. Following its release earlier this week it has gone straight to number one in both the US and UK iTunes charts.
Obviously, the artwork for this song was released, which was definitely a more provocative decision, as you can see below in the video.
When the song list for ARTPOP was released, this was the song that sparked the most interest. It was the fact that feat. R. Kelly followed the song title.
The song, which has a clear 80s style, finds Gaga encouraging listeners to “Do what you want with my body,” which R. Kelly takes as an open invitation, as you can hear in the song itself.
Don’t worry Gaga fans, the new cut of Venus will be her next release on October 27, but now as a promotional single. You can listen to Do What U Want below, and let us know what you think of the song!
