Roger Taylor, drummer Queen, has assured us that Brian May is diligently working on the Freddie Mercury/Michael Jackson duets they’ve been teasing us with for months.

In an interview with Classic Rock Magazine, Taylor stated that, “Brian especially has been active working on old tracks. A couple of tracks that Freddie did with Michael Jackson.”

“They’ve been hanging around for years and years and Michael’s estate haven’t really been able to make their mind up about what to do with them. So we suggested we finish them and see. They’re pretty good – one of them is great.”

Recently, May touched on the fate of the Freddie Mercury biopic after its star, Sacha Baron Cohen, allegedly walked out. Allegations that May put to rest.

May stated that, “It’s a shame that there were these sensationalist stories about him walking out. None of that was true. So we’re in a very good place with the movie, and we remain friends with Sacha and hopefully there will be another project that we will work on together in the future.”

I say: quit teasing us already and gives us these songs! I can’t imagine many things greater than collaboration between Freddie and Michael. Patience has never been my virtue.

Check out the below lyric video of Freddie and Michael singing “There Must Be More To Life Than This” to tide you over, and witness two of the world’s greatest voices collide!
