‘arenthood star, Dax Shepard, definitely did not give Kristen Bell a typical, lush and expensive Hollywood-style wedding. He talked about his recent marriage on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The couple got married on October 17th at the Beverly Hills County Clerk’s office. Being wed at the county clerk’s office does not seem like an average women’s dream wedding.

The couple had been engaged for three years and delayed their wedding until after the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act. Finally after six years of being together, they had a ceremony of about $142, including gas.

He told Kimmel: “Friends of ours came to the courthouse, and it was just Kristen and I at this lonely courthouse, so they brought us this cake afterwards,” which said “The World’s Worst Wedding.”

“How many people can say they threw ‘The Worst Wedding’?” Shepard asked. However, he still does not have a ring, which will be adding to his $142.  For that he has planned to go to Costco, where Kimmel purchased his ring for $340.

Although it seems like a lousy way to get married, both Kristen and Dax seem very happy about their new marriage. Kristen told People magazine, “I’m still on a high… We actually did it. I can officially call him my husband, which is pretty awesome. Other than that, it feels exactly the same.”
