Justin Bieber delighted his fans with another Music Monday release (the fifth to-date) with the pop-smooth track, “Bad Day.”
As part of his online series, the 19-year-old entertainer is sampling a forthcoming album and a “special movie” (to be released this December). The new track is a sweeping breakup ballad — a perfect showcase for Justin’s natural talent — and the accompanying cover art is simple and symbolic.
“And just 3 hours to go until #BadDay. U ready??? #Countdown #MusicMondays,” he tweeted to his 46 million Twitter followers, followed by, “3 hours to go. #BadDayOnItunesSundayAtMidnight.”
Currently on tour in Brazil, the singer jumped the gun over the song’s release, but was later corrected by his manager.
“Called @justinbieber & told him #badday isnt out yet. he said it’s 12. i said that’s in brazil. he said ‘oops’ then started singing to me,” Scooter Braun wrote.
Of course, the pop superstar took it all in stride, later posting an Instagram video singing the song, “me singing #BadDay,” he said.
The new track follows on the heels of previously released Music Monday features — “Recovery,” “All That Matters,” “Hold Tight” and “Heartbreaker.” The singer’s upcoming documentary/concert flick, directed by Jon Chu, hits theaters on Christmas day.
