Former Jonas Brothers band member and recent solo artist Nick Jonas has a brand new film project that he’s working on with actress Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen).
Careful What You Wish For follows the affair of Doug Martin (Jonas) and Lena (Lucas). Lena is a married woman who gives Martin more than he bargained for in their love-driven affair. The events that follow throw Martin into the middle of a scandal.
Jonas remarks: “I play a guy named Doug Martin. It’s an interesting movie; really intense sort of sexy thriller with a lot of twists and turns.”
Jonas and his brother Joe guest starred on MTV’s exclusive Jonas Brothers episode, “Jonas Brothers: Live from MTV.” The youngest of the three-brother band, Nick Jonas says that he is very excited and that the movie will be a great breakout role for him.
“It’s a great acting role. It’s something I can really dive into and sort of lose myself in and become this person for a little while, which is exciting. And I think it’ll be a movie that keeps people on the edge of their seats and makes them uncomfortable and excited. It’ll be good.”
Jonas confirms that the affair between his Martin and Lucas’ Lena will not be censored—but he’s not giving anything away! He will say that this film tests the limits of his comfort zone, and that he will be growing his hair out for the film: “but it takes a bit of time. So, be patient.”
The thrilling Careful What You Wish For is directed by Elizabeth Allen and written by Chris Frisina and Greg Hurwitz. It is set to release in 2014.
