People are saying Eminem lip-synced his Saturday Night Live performance
It’s Ashlee Simpson all over again!
Eminem performed as the musical guest on last weekend’s Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by Kerry Washington. He performed his songs “Berzerk” and “Survival” during the show.
Many people on Twitter pointed out that it looked and sounded like Eminem was lip-syncing the songs. “Eminem is lip syncing so hard. If you’re gonna do it, at least practice.” wrote Twitter user @HarryEndicott. “Is he lip syncing though? Come on Eminem.” said @MrRLWalton.
A representative for Eminem said that he was not lip syncing, but instead layering his rapping over pre-recorded vocals. “He just likes this sound and if you listen to his albums they are done the same way,” said the representative.
So, yes, Eminem was getting help, and the voice you heard wasn’t all him. Is this the same as lip-syncing? Did Eminem pull an Ashlee Simpson last weekend?
