It’s been two years in the making but the wait is finally over for us, The Wanted fan-mily.
As of midnight, The Wanted’s new album Word Of Mouth is available on iTunes and in stores across North America. It was released in most other countries on November 4.
The five-piece English/Irish boyband including Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes, Max George, and Tom Parker, already have two UK albums and an EP under their belts.
Now they’re headed for world domination, making Word Of Mouth available in North America, South America, and Europe.
They recently announced that their 2014 tour of the same name will span Europe and North America. Although they have written songs with other artists, Word Of Mouth is strictly The Wanted.
“It’s just us. There were opportunities to do certain collabs. A lot of it was writing collabs. But it ended up just being us. We felt very involved in this album, we wanted to make it our new ‘baby’, as such. We wanted to really own this,” Sykes told radio station 92.3 Now.
The album includes five singles from the past year – infamous chart-topper “Glad You Came”, “I Found You”, “Walks Like Rihanna”, “We Own The Night”, and newest UK single “Show Me Love” – along with eleven brand new tracks.
Twitter’s been abuzz for the past couple of days as fans have helped trend the band’s album release news, using the hashtag #WordOfMouthAtMidnight.
“I think it’s our best album yet, and we’re genuinely really proud of this,” George said in an interview on Good Morning America yesterday.
Here’s hoping it dominates the charts!
